For a small 'corner store' fish and chips shop it was actually quite good. Staff were friendly to us and the prices decent. Had the fish and chips which were nicely done.
DO NOT EAT HERE. Jan 2019 prices have increased by 10%. Staff are rude and abusive. The service is terrible.Portions are tiny for the expensive prices.No wonder the business has been up 4sale for 3 years now.Worst fish & chip shop I've ever experienced in 45 years of being a consumer.
Food here is absolutely delicious and fresh and the menu has lots of variety beyond just fish and chips. Prices are generous and reasonable. The place looks underwhelming and can even get rather crowded, which can contribute to some prolonged waiting time and it can even get stuffy on a warmer day. The service also seems slow and waiting times can get tedious especially during busy days. Staff aren't apathetic or rude but just don't seem welcoming enough to customers. Overall this place still secures 4 stars because it's still worth trying when you need a tasty bite to eat.
Batesys customer service is terrible. The girl serving at the counter had to constantly ask the manager for help taking our order and the managers frustration was evident. Although she seemed to be directing her attitude towards us and not the girl who was obviously not sufficiently trained and as clueless with the menu and pricing as we were.The food was quite good although a little too greasy and too much salt was added. It was a little more pricey than I would normally pay but not bad.
Absolutely terrible customer service unless you are a local. The owner is very rude. Staying at the Jopen complex units and apartments and it is quite contrasting. The staff here know how to serve people with a smile even when they are busy. The staff from Batesys' should go there for staff training.
